  • Automatically collected data such as log data, IP addresses, browser types, timestamps, device information, usage patterns, and cookies for session management.
  • Third-party data received from authorized integrations, such as Salesforce, to facilitate synchronization.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the JEvents platform.
  • Process payments and manage accounts.
  • Send transactional communications and respond to support requests.
  • Monitor for security threats, fraud, and abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns.

3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only in limited circumstances:
  • Service providers that support cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and aggregate analytics.
  • Authorized integrations, only as configured by your organization's administrator.
  • Legal disclosures when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of JEvents and its users.
  • Business transfers in the event of a merger or sale, with advance notice to organizations.

4. Data Retention
  • We retain data for as long as your account is active.
  • Upon account termination, data is deleted or anonymized within 60 days.
  • Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery.
  • Organizations may export their data at any time via the platform before termination.

5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
  • Encryption in transit using TLS/HTTPS and encryption at rest for sensitive data.
  • Role-based access controls to ensure users only access authorized data.
  • Regular security reviews and vulnerability monitoring.

6. Student and Minor Data
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without verified parental consent.
Organizations managing data about minors are responsible for ensuring legal authority and compliance with COPPA and FERPA.
If we learn of unauthorized collection of data from a child under 13, it will be promptly deleted.

7. Your Rights and Choices
Administrators
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data in CSV format at any time.
End Users and Participants
Please contact the organization managing your data directly to exercise your rights.
California Residents (CCPA)
You have the right to know what is collected and request deletion. We do not sell personal information.
EU and UK Residents (GDPR)
You have the right to object to processing and lodge complaints. Contact us for a Data Processing Agreement if required.

8. Cookies
We use cookies for session authentication, security protections such as CSRF prevention, and aggregate analytics. We do not use cookies for behavioral advertising.

9. Modifications
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
